Poem written by Me: In the Midst of it All
In the Midst of it All
The world keeps changing everyday filled with anger, greed, judgement and despair
Looking out to the horizon nature continues with no delay
The Earth renews itself in whatever method it will use so it can continue
What lives in it some will vanish but others will remain
In the midst of it all the Earth will recycle even if we try to destroy it, destroying first so as it was intended to do so
The wonders may change yet the beauty will always remain
Birds will fly and sing even though it’s size and colors may change
Rain will fall to nourish the Earth which it has accepted how it might not be clean
Stronger living beings will flourish adapting to the changes
Flowers will bloom but the smells will change
Animals will roam but their appearances will not allow captivity
In the midst of it all nature adapts to the cruelty it has been given and shown
The Earth was given as a gift to it’s occupants yet humans’ desires forgot that point
Lands were taken even if the awareness of imbalance was given
Greed and desires for we feel that we own this Earth and are the masters of it
In the midst of it all the Earth rebels with it’s destructive fury
Are we not to blame for those unexpected occurrences that can not be explained??
Truth is that it has been spoken of for many centuries
Looking onto the horizon where still my eyes can be amazed of the beauty
The colors, shapes, sounds and feel of my surroundings
Knowing that in time this view will no longer be
Is it not foolish to believe that as we keep destroying what God has made that there will not be a resistance?
In the midst of it all this Earth as a gift can be replaced with changes of existence
The question will remain will the victims of our actions be the new heirs
Or will the destruction be too great that the “Restart” button will be activated by it’s Creator???
My gift of words as guided to our Mother Earth
